Shin splints, runner's knee, IT band, Achilles, plantar fasciitis, or an ache that keeps coming back — you don't have to stop running to fix it. Assessment-first, root-cause care that keeps you moving while you heal.
The problem
You've iced it, changed shoes, taken the week off — and it returned the moment you laced up. Rest quiets the symptom without touching what caused it.
Why it persists
They're driven by how you load — hips, ankles, mechanics, training that ramped too fast. Treat the driver, not the smoke, and the pain has far less reason to return.
The approach
Before any treatment, Dr. Thompson assesses how you move, load, and run to find what's actually driving your pain — then matches the tools to it.
Free up stiff hips, ankles and spine that overload everything downstream.
Release the irritated tissue behind IT band, Achilles and plantar pain.
Calm pain and tension so you can keep moving while you heal.
Rebuild the capacity that makes the fix actually last.
The goal: keep you running wherever it's safe to — adjusting volume or terrain, not benching you for weeks.

Usually not entirely. In many cases we adjust your volume, pace, or terrain while treating the root cause, so you keep your fitness and your routine. Complete rest is sometimes appropriate, but that's a decision we make together based on your assessment.
Those manage symptoms. An assessment-first approach looks for why the injury happened — hip strength, ankle mobility, mechanics, training load — and treats that, so the symptom has far less reason to return.
Shin splints, runner's knee (PFPS), IT band syndrome, Achilles tendinopathy, and plantar fasciitis, along with the recurring aches that never fully settle. Every case is assessed individually.
No. Dr. Thompson combines adjustments and mobilizations with soft tissue therapy, IASTM, Functional Integrated Acupuncture, and exercise rehabilitation, chosen from your assessment. For many runners, the rehab piece is what makes it last.
